Haven't been keeping up!

Wow! I forgot I even started this thing......Oops!

Hmmm, well we had an ultrasound on December 4th to see if the baby was "Viable." Well, she started with the abdominal ultrasound, and although it's hard to see - I've been through this plenty of times to know that there is atleast a gestational sac! Yay!

She has me go empty my bladder, I do. Now it's time for the "fun" ultrasound (NOT!). As soon as she inserted the wand thingy, I could see the sac - I could see the yolk also - as she moved closer and zoomed in - I saw the flicker immediately!!!! OMG! It looked normal to me. Last time, the flicker was irregular, and very slow. It was about 60-70BPM and baby was measuring 1 week and a half behind.

Anyway, As soon as we saw that flicker Tyler shouted out of nowhere "Are you going to measure how fast it is?!?!" I looked at him with surprise as she answered yes. There it was - The HB measured 111BPM, normal for 6 weeks gestation was about 107! Yay! We had a healthy heartbeat, a bean measuring normal, and I heard the words : "Everything looks good and normal." That's all I wanted to hear!

She finished up with looking at my ovaries, which I have to say was hilarious! I'm looking at the screen like "How the hell do they know what they are looking at?!" And again out of nowhere Tyler says "Wow! Look at all of those cysts on her ovary - woah, there's a few big ones!" Hahahaha. I guess he's been through it so many times, he can now identify my ever so constant ovarian cysts - priceless.


Ok, and as far as now goes..... I ordered a doppler on December 11th - but Christmas is REALLY slowing down the mail. Grrr!!!! I want that thing, and I want it NOW! Who knows if I could even hear it, but a few girls on the TWW said they found it around this time..... so I will definetely try.

I had my nurse appt. on the 12th, that went well. I absolutely love my nurse! Her Tyler got along well - they made fun of how neurotic I am - in a good joking way of course. They both understand what I have been through. The main thing that I learned there was DRINK 100 OZ OF WATER DAILY! And that Im fat. I weighed in at 148LBS. SERIOUSLY!!!!??? Dear god. I have never in my life weighed that much - ever! I was embarassed in front of Tyler. I think he has a small issue with my weight. I think he isn't attracted to me anymore.......could be hormones, could be truth. He did tell me he had an issue with it, but that it was more because I don't shut up about being fat. I didn't believe him.

Sorry that was so long but I had to update!!! Yay! Next appt. is on the 29th - hopefully all is good, and hopefully I remember to check in and update before then!

Intro to me and my life!

Well, I have never really been the "blogging" type, but I feel like this journey needs to be documented!

First off my real name is Danielle. I use Dahlia for some reason online - and so that' s my username everywhere I go! Call me either =)

I am 21 years old, living in Central Oregon. I am dating (hopefully soon to marry) Tyler, who is 27. For both of us this place is our hometown, we've never lived anywhere else, so this is home for us.

We met about 1 1/2 yrs ago at a friends BBQ and haven't been apart since that night.

This is our 3rd pregnancy together. I have had 2 m/c's this year, and we're hoping that this will be the one that stays with us, the one that we've been hoping and praying for. This baby was not expected! But I feel that the pregnancy has come at a wonderful time in our lives where we are ready to grow up and settle down.

So, through all of my posts you will get to know me and my life! In 8 months you will get to see the baby we have waited for, for so long.

Feelin' LUCKY! =)

I guess I will just let ya'll know the progress we know about so far.

My EDD is 07.28.2009. So as of today I am about 4wk, 4 days along. I have only had my numbers drawn so far and this is what I've got:

10dpo - 12
13dpo - 102.8 - doubling every 22 hours!
16dpo - 442.6 - doubling every 34 hours!

So, they are doubling faster than any of the other pregnancies I have had - I hope this is a good sign =) I can't help but wonder if perhaps there's twins in there! Doesn't the doubling rate seem a little faster than normal? Hehe, maybe just high hopes! I really have this feeling that this will be the one that stays, our miracle baby. I also have a feeling that it is a girl =) I told my BF that and she said "That means you're having a boy!" Hehehe.
